Reflexology is a complementary therapy which is suitable for all ages. As a therapist I treat the body as a whole to try and help my client's body restore or maintain its natural balance.
Reflexologists apply pressure to the reflex points on the feet or hands, which they believe correspond to other parts of the body. It is a non-intrusive therapy which has been around for approximately 5,000 years.
Holistic Approach to Treatment
I am a fully qualified and insured reflexologist. I offer reflexology on either your hands or feet at Cowdray Therapy Rooms in Easebourne, near Midhurst or at Plestor House which is situated in Liss.
Reflexology can help you with:
•Increasing your sense of well-being
•Common pregnancy complaints
Reflexology is also beneficial for clients simply wishing to relax and de-stress from their busy lives. Keeping stress levels down is a good way to keeping the body healthy. A little 'me' time is always a good thing!
I also offer hand reflexology. This is great for those of you that don't like the idea of someone touching your feet or have conditions such as athelete's foot, that make it unsuitable for me to work on your feet. The hands do not take as long to treat as the feet but are just as beneficial. If you have any further questions then please get in touch with me either by telephone or email.
How does it work? Distance reflexology works along the same lines as absent healing (reiki or spiritual). All of these healing therapies work through energy. Virtual or Distance Reflexology is where reflexology is performed from a distance, either through visualisation, working on your own feet or using something else as surrogate. The client lies down somewhere comfortable and relaxes whilst the treatment happens. This way of reflexology is great for people who do not wish to or are unable to have a treatment at my clinic. Here are a couple of comments from recent clients after their first distance reflexology treatment with myself:
"Towards the end of lockdown my feet were painful and my body felt uncomfortable. I contacted Jackie to ask if she would do some distant reflexology. I have had 3 treatments, they have been wonderful and helped release all sorts of abdominal tensions while I relaxed in a comfy chair or laid on my bed at home. We chatted briefly over the phone after each session. Jackie included some chakra balancing sounds. This has been invaluable during a period of intense family upheaval when I needed to keep my energy steady and centred. Thank you Jackie" N.H - Alton
'Felt as though I had had an in-person treatment, could feel my feet being worked and points that typically are prominent for me were very much so! Slept incredibly well afterwards as well, would definitely have more.' JC, W. Sx
'...it is mind blowing! I so enjoyed my treatment from you. I felt incredibly energised and upbeat afterwards. I slept so well afterwards, thank you Jackie Cox.' Elizabeth, Deal

I am now able to offer sound therapy using tuning forks either on their own or combined with reflexology. Sound therapy has been around for a long time and was used by ancient Greeks and Egyptians. Sound therapists can use a variety of mediums which include tuning forks, singing bowls, crystal bowls, drums or voice.
How does Sound Therapy work?
Think of your body like a piano. When a piano is out of tune it doesn't perform at it's best, no matter who is playing it. Once it has been re-tuned the notes are back to their optimal level of how they should sound. Your body is no different. We are made up of energy that vibrates. When we are ill either physically, mentally or emotionally we are not vibrating at our optimal level. Sound therapy can help re-tune our bodies to function at their optimal level and so help to restore natural balance within the body.
Sound Therapy can help:
Improve sleep & relaxation
Improve energy levels
Self-confidence & self-esteem
Physical & emotional issues
Reflexology & Sound Therapy
For those of you that enjoy the relaxing benefits of reflexology you can now add sound therapy to that experience through stemming on reflex points using tuning forks. This is where the stem of a tuning fork is placed on a specific reflex point that may feel unbalanced. The session will end with sounding all my tuning forks to help restore balance and a sense of general well-being. Very relaxing!
